Bobby Alu

We are excited to have Bobby Alu coming to Cleveland to perform for the first time at the Redlands Ukulele Festival. He will be conducting a workshop and 2 solo sets on ukulele, snare and log drum for the daytime and evening concerts on Saturday 13th June. Festival goers will witness Bobby’s smooth soul island sound, afro rhythms, hint of pop and good vibes. He has just taken out the most popular male at the Qld music awards last month. Swiftly making a name for himself, Bobby Alu has performed at numerous music festival including Byron Bluesfest, Woodford Folk Festival , Nannup Festival & Island Vibe and is an increasingly in-demand performing artist.

Expect a fresh, simple sound with tastes of Polynesian ukulele, pacific beats, catchy songs, and powerful log drumming. He has recorded albums including ‘Take it Slow’ (2013) and his self-titled debut in 2010. Most recently the band released the EP ‘Bay Sessions’, which has received rave reviews on a national tour earlier this year. His song ‘Changes Changes’ has been included on the world-renowned Putumayo ‘Australia’ compilation.
